• Fiberglass Doors – Fiberglass garage doors are less prone to denting and cracking. They do not rust, but they can break when struck. Typically, two layers of fiberglass are bonded to a steel frame and filled with polyurethane insulation. Steel end caps contribute to increased rigidity.
• Vinyl Doors – Typically touted as “kid-proof” due to them being hard to break or dint. They are typically built on steel frames and are very durable.
• Glass Garage Doors – Glass garage doors are a little more contemporary than the other types of garage doors – they aren’t something you see very often. One reason is that they’re not exactly safe. Everyone can see into your home at all hours of the day. They’ll know when you’re home and when you’re away. They are also not suitable for hot climates that get a lot of direct sunlight.
